Backlit flag at first light. The sun had just cleared the ridge behind the green and everything between the camera and the sky was in silhouette or near-silhouette — the flagstick standing up like a signature in the middle of it all. I had to meter carefully to hold some detail in the front bunker without losing the glow.
What I like most about this one is how the shadow reaches toward you. The whole composition is built on that diagonal.
